Requirements
  • Juris Doctor Degree and a license to practice law in the state where the legal department is located.
  • Up to 3 years of attorney experience after receiving a law degree.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in providing necessary legal counsel, assistance and support for employment, labor and benefits within the Company.
  • Handling a variety of legal projects and assignments and assisting on more complex matters related to the employment, labor and benefits legal practice within HCSC.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, country, and local employment laws, and regulations.
  • Reviewing and drafting employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.
  • Advising on training sessions and workshops for managers and employees while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Advising and guiding managers on best practices related to investigations and providing resolution on other employee relations matters.
