Visa is rapidly expanding our Value Added Services (VAS) product portfolio globally, and the VAS Architecture and Platform organization sits at the intersection of numerous technologies, platforms, and solutions that enable this growth.

The Opportunity: 

Essential Functions:

•    The creation of conceptual approach, technical analysis, design, development, unit testing,deployand support activities.
•    Collaboration with business partners on requirements elaboration, workflow design, configuration, and business re-engineering.
•    Leading agile development teams in designing, developing, testing, supporting technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies.
•    Evaluate options and providerecommendationon scope and scale of effortrequiredto implement final requirements.
•    Able to work on multiple projects and initiatives with different/competing timelines and demands.
•    Work withproductpartners to review andfinalizetechnical specifications, code review, version management, and implementation related activities.
•    Work with limited direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels.
•    Collaborate across global businesses and technology organizations, providing sound business analysis, process, and change leadership.
•    Hire and develop a diverse team of talented engineers.
•    Coach/mentor and develop the team
•    Participation in support activities such as troubleshooting, defect research, code promotion, and configuration. . 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

• Hands-on experience with emerging technologies, including GenAI and ML.

• Experience in reviewing business requirements and developing technical documentation.

• Experience in designing and implementing testing procedures for APIs and integration patterns.

• Experience in participating in design reviews and providing input on product designs and schedules.

• Experience in leading teams to ensure productivity and high-quality delivery.

• Experience in code review and accountability for development/testing activities.

• Experience in technical evaluations and proof of concepts for new technologies.

• Experience building micro services using HTTP, REST, JSON and XML

• Experience in managing distributed computing challenges.

• Experience in fostering team collaboration and meeting business needs.

• Experience in integrating emerging technologies into software engineering practices.

• Proficient in measuring services from the user experience perspective, setting and monitoring SLAs and KPIs.

• Payment industry experience is highly desirable.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $162,500.00 to $ 260,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
