The Data Architect role is responsible for developing, documenting and communicating frameworks, standards and practices to ensure that HHAeXchange is properly managing and utilizing the data created and used within its business. The role works within engineering to oversee governance of the enterprise data platform, and with stakeholders across to business to coordinate a full enterprise strategy.

Essential Job Duties
- Contribute to the definition of technical strategy as a member of the Architecture team by identifying new technologies and approaches and collaborating on development of standards;
- Participate in leading technical transformation by contributing to a unified Architectural vision and promoting it within the organization.
- Acting as a senior resource for several teams, ensures the technical quality of all their deliveries, including code quality, security, scalability and availability by working to empower and enable team members to grow their skills and capabilities as engineers.
- Partner with Product team members to help during Product Discovery process to identify high level approaches and designs for new initiatives and features, participate in prototyping efforts and help move new initiatives from ideas to working systems. Design, create, deploy, and manage the organization’s data architecture, ensuring that its data assets are aligned with its business goals, are secure, and can be effectively utilized for decision‐making and strategic planning.
- Design data models, databases, and integration processes, ensuring data quality and security.
- Develop and promote standards for teams to develop and maintain models and integration processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to understand structural requirements and define standards for storing, consuming, integrating, and managing data across the organization and translating it into a usable blueprint.
- Implement and maintain data security and privacy measures and ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements, including data classification and protection standards
- Establish and maintain a data catalog and metadata that provides clear definition, provenance and lifecycle management of all data
- Document data definitions, standards, and policies.
- Work with developers and system administrators to implement data solutions. Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, constantly monitoring and refining the performance of data management systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data architecture.
- Ensure adherence to data governance and stewardship policies and practices.
- Create and maintain documentation for data architecture processes and standards.

Travel Requirements
- Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel
Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or significant relevant experience
- 10+ years of experience designing and building data platforms and analytic system
- 3+ years of experience working as an architect
- Demonstrated experience with defining data governance and planning
- Significant experience with Snowflake, Tableau and DBT is preferred
- Experience developing and supporting a distributed software system in production is preferred
The base salary range for this US-based, full-time, and exempt position is $180,000-200,000, not including variable compensation. An employee’s exact starting salary will be based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, merit, location, and the ability to exemplify the HHAeXchange core values.
