About the Role
We’re looking for a senior engineer who’s speciality is in backend and infrastructure.
Our ideal engineer is able to think holistically about architecture, scalability, monitoring, and reliability. Though we’re an early stage startup, our customers trust us to reliably and securely sync large quantities of data into their downstream tools.
Some of the problems you’ll work on:
- Design, build, and ship core features to the Hightouch platform
- Review code changes and design specs from teammates
- Maintain tooling and process for monitoring and observability
- Architect key systems to handle the scale of our increasing customer load
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced teammates
About You
- Security best practices - proper storing of secrets and access controls
- Queueing and big data systems - Kafka, Flink, Spark
- Monitoring - Prometheus, Datadog
- Storage systems - relational, key-value, and OLAP
- Infrastructure - Linux, bash, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS
Our frontend is built in React and Typescript, and our backend is also built on Typescript with some elements of Go.

Compensation
Hightouch’s salary range for this position is $170,000 - $240,000 USD per year.
