Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in platform engineering, developer platforms, or infrastructure product management, including 5+ years in senior leadership owning platform strategy.
  • Demonstrated use of artificial intelligence and agentic systems as a product surface and operating model, including organizational change, velocity, and adoption; working fluency in large language model evaluation, agentic design, human-in-the-loop systems, and artificial intelligence failure modes.
  • Deep experience with customer-deployed software, including on-premises upgrades, air-gapped installations, and enterprise change management.
  • Architectural fluency across Kubernetes, containerization, infrastructure as a service including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, and traditional on-premises environments.
  • Deep file security knowledge beyond antivirus, including content disarm and reconstruction, multiscanning, vulnerability and dynamic analysis, data loss prevention, supply-chain security, and software bills of materials.
  • A track record of earning internal platform adoption by other teams.
  • Enterprise software experience with single sign-on, Security Assertion Markup Language, OpenID Connect, role-based access control, multi-tenancy, audit logging, zero-downtime deployments, and observability.
  • Ability to align peer product managers, convince skeptical engineering leads, and present strategy to executive leadership.
  • Experience defining key performance indicators for adoption, performance, scalability, and customer impact, and using dashboards and qualitative signals to prioritize work and hold teams accountable.
  • Ability to move quickly with emerging technology while maintaining architectural rigor and long-lived resilience.
Responsibilities
  • Own the technical vision for MetaDefender Core, including modular multi-engine orchestration, processing throughput, format coverage, and application programming interface extensibility.
  • Position MetaDefender Core as the engine of enterprise file security and articulate the need for layered, defense-in-depth file analysis.
  • Drive strategy for new file modalities, archives, encrypted containers, firmware, and machine learning or artificial intelligence model files.
  • Ensure Core architecture enables adjacent products.
  • Shape the platform's growth trajectory toward full profit-and-loss ownership.
  • Own the strategy, developer experience, and adoption outcome for enterprise shared services, including installation and deployment, identity and access, configuration and policy, observability, reporting and audit, high availability and disaster recovery, zero-downtime scale, and shared user-interface components.
  • Make agentic capability a native platform primitive exposed to product teams as a service.
  • Embed artificial intelligence across triage, configuration, deployment, observability, and customer time-to-value.
  • Use artificial intelligence to accelerate engineering velocity, internal adoption, documentation, and decision speed across teams.
  • Define where human-in-the-loop controls are mandatory, design for artificial intelligence failure modes, and prevent risk without measurable value.
  • Own the platform narrative, positioning, and eventual profit-and-loss responsibility.
  • Define and lead the File Security category, including language, reference architectures, buyer education, and competitive framing.
  • Translate platform capability into enterprise buyer value and pricing leverage.
  • Lead platform audit and roadmap development, internal evangelism, shared-services adoption, Core modernization, deployment patterns, and agentic workflows during the first 12 months.
  • Collaborate directly with two dedicated engineering teams comprising more than 40 people and influence platform adoption across more than 12 peer engineering teams globally.

Aug 21, 2026 OPSWAT participated and spoke at the Operational Technology Cybersecurity Expert Panel (OTCEP) Forum 2026, held July 22-23 at Resorts World Convention Centre, Singapore. This was an invitation-only event convened by Singapore's Cyber Security Agency (CSA) that brought together a select group of government leaders, critical information infrastructure operators, and OT cybersecurity practitioners from around the world. Now in its sixth year, the OTCEP Forum is a cornerstone event under Singapore's OT Cybersecurity Masterplan, designed to strengthen cross-sector resilience against operational technology (OT) threats. This year's forum was opened by CSA Chief Executive Ms. Gwenda Fong and featured a keynote address from Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information and Minister-in-Charge of Cybersecurity and Smart Nation Group, who outlined Singapore's strategy to defend critical infrastructure against AI-driven threats. Sal Morlando, CTO for Data Diodes and Security Gateways at OPSWAT, presented "Every OT Breach Starts With a File," a session examining how file-borne threats enter OT environments and how organizations can close that gap without disrupting operations.
