Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or a related major is required.
  • Must have 5 or more years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Must have 3 or more years of experience with Connecticut-based regulations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical report writing.
  • A valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation are required.
  • Must be available for infrequent night and weekend work.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • An excellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices are required.
  • Must be able to travel 40% regionally.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare proposals for environmental projects, including technical scopes of work.
  • Manage Connecticut-based environmental projects, including client communication and invoicing.
  • Prepare technical reports, including RAPs, COIs, and GMRs.
  • Conduct ASTM Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
  • Collect field samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and drinking water.
  • Provide oversight of site investigation and characterization as well as contaminated site remediation.
  • Support emergency response services.
  • Communicate and collaborate with others.
  • Manage workloads and records.
  • Implement health and safety policies.
  • Meet financial-based targets.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with State Superfund and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Connecticut-specific MS4 stormwater and CTDEEP regulatory/remediation experience.
  • CAD and geographic information systems experience.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
