About the Role
As Product Manager, Subscriber Retention you will build experiences that help our subscribers get the most out of their subscription and give them compelling reasons to stay subscribed to our portfolio of brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch and others. Working closely with the executive team at Dow Jones, and reporting to the VP of Subscription Products, you will be responsible for planning, defining and executing against the subscriber retention roadmap.
This role combines product, business and marketing strategy. Dow Jones is a subscription focussed company and you will work with multiple stakeholders to ideate, define, prioritize and deliver engaging subscriber experiences across web and mobile.
You are a creative self-starter, multi-skilled in product strategy, marketing and technology. You pride yourself on delivering features on-time and without compromising quality. You are able to efficiently manage multiple initiatives concurrently, while effectively communicating to stakeholders throughout the product development process.
You Will:
- Work cross-functionally across business lines to define product requirements and prioritize the subscriber retention roadmap.
- Support digital subscription growth by enhancing the subscriber onboarding, renewal, save offer and winback funnels.
- Make product enhancements and optimizations to increase subscriber revenue.
- Perform analysis to demonstrate ROI and impact of product enhancements.
- Work with research teams to gather and analyze audience feedback regarding our products.
- Collaborate closely with software developers throughout the product life cycle.
- Define and measure KPIs for success.
- Other duties as assigned.
You Have:
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with a subscriber or direct to consumer focus.
- Some direct experience working with, or on, a Growth Marketing team.
- Passion and knowledge about digital media, news and investing.
- Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
- Fluency in product metrics, specifically those related to subscriptions.
- Experience conducting experimentation, familiarity with Optimizely a plus.
- Experience defining and implementing product requirements for websites and mobile apps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders and customers.
- Proven ability partnering with a technology organization.
- Highly strategic as well as detail-oriented.
