- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or direct patient care setting or completion of a Medical Assistant training program is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Experience assisting with in-office procedures, specimen collection, and patient education.
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Escort patients from the waiting area to the examination room.
- Verify patient identity using approved identifiers.
- Obtain and document chief complaint, allergies, medications, and updates to medical, surgical, family, and social history.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Accurately document all components of the patient visit in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Document all orders, prescriptions, referrals, laboratory requests, and follow-up recommendations.
- Complete visit documentation promptly and accurately.
- Dermatology experience is a plus but not required—we are happy to train the right individual who has strong transferable healthcare skills and a desire to grow within our practice.
