Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or direct patient care setting or completion of a Medical Assistant training program is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Experience assisting with in-office procedures, specimen collection, and patient education.
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escort patients from the waiting area to the examination room.
  • Verify patient identity using approved identifiers.
  • Obtain and document chief complaint, allergies, medications, and updates to medical, surgical, family, and social history.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Ensure patient comfort while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
  • Accurately document all components of the patient visit in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Document all orders, prescriptions, referrals, laboratory requests, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Complete visit documentation promptly and accurately.
Desired Qualifications
  • Dermatology experience is a plus but not required—we are happy to train the right individual who has strong transferable healthcare skills and a desire to grow within our practice.
  • We welcome candidates with transferable experience.
