Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or engineering equivalent with 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Extensive industry experience in Robotics/Autonomy algorithms, architecture, and design in mapping & localization
- Extensive experience writing production code using modern C++ on Linux
- Proficient understanding of probability, statistics, probabilistic modeling, and linear algebra
- Semantic Segmentation using Deep Learning
- LIDAR sensor data processing algorithms
- CUDA (GPU Programming) programming is desired
Responsibilities
- Analyze & improve the current localization algorithms, ensuring our self-driving vehicles have the best localization accuracy to drive safely and smoothly on the road
- Research the state-of-the-art localization algorithms and apply excellent algorithm design & programming skills to our self-driving software
- Prototype and deploy robust and reliable solutions to cutting-edge localization problems
- Collaborate closely with a creative team of engineers and researchers
- Improve how our vehicles act and react in complex and nuanced situations
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree with 3 years of relevant industry experience OR
- PhD with 1 years of relevant industry experience
