Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology/Management Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or more than five years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least six years of experience, including at least four years in People/Human Resources data analytics and reporting, with in-depth knowledge of Human Resources, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, and Talent data.
  • In-depth experience building and maintaining advanced Workday Human Capital Management reports and dashboards, including calculated fields and advanced Matrix and composite reports.
  • Experience integrating a core Human Resources Management System application with a data warehouse or data lake and consolidating data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated experience across all project phases, including software development life cycle or Scrum/Agile methodologies and roadmap/tactical development for a phased People/Human Resources analytics strategy.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to draw valid conclusions, apply sound judgment, make decisions under pressure, and prioritize appropriate methods, tools, and reporting deliverables.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and extract insights from large amounts of data and develop recommendations and improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day reporting deliverables and provide operational support for report requests, inquiries, and tickets.
  • Produce and deliver standard and customized People reports on monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules, primarily using Workday and Power BI.
  • Develop new and improved Workday Human Capital Management dashboards for employees, managers, and People/Human Resources team members.
  • Facilitate the definition and development of business and predictive key performance indicators and metrics across the People/Human Resources function and recommend effective delivery tools.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define business problems, analyze data, and present insights and dashboards that support people-related decisions.
  • Analyze and interpret data using techniques ranging from simple aggregation to complex statistical analysis.
  • Summarize insights and present findings to executives, business leaders, hiring managers, and People/Human Resources team members; build narratives behind data and develop visualizations and presentations.
  • Analyze end-to-end processes and underlying data from multiple sources to identify inconsistencies and recommend improvements.
  • Work with Information Technology and Data Warehouse teams to improve data integrity and advance key performance indicator and metric definitions and reporting.
  • Participate in and lead data and analytics projects, including planning and scoping, requirements and specifications development, prototyping and playback, testing, deployment, communications, and training.
  • Stay current with People/Human Resources analytics research and leading practices and participate in the Workday Community and other forums.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and evolve the organization's people analytics roadmap.
  • Provide reporting and analytics training and guidance to end users.
  • Adhere to data privacy and access policies and comply with security and system change-control governance.
  • Mentor team members with less experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company.
  • A master's degree in Business, Information Technology/Management Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Workday Pro certification in HCM Core or HCM Reporting and exposure to Workday Prism and Discovery Boards.
  • Advanced Power BI skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking, Learning, and Talent systems and data.
  • Knowledge of or exposure to Python or R for advanced data analysis, predictive modeling, and inferential statistics.
  • Highly developed team-building, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain a big-picture perspective and articulate it at the appropriate level across the team.
