Professional Services Engineer - Service Delivery Partner Development and Solutions Teaming

Arista Professional Services (PS) has a role in the development of Service Delivery Partners (SDP) to enhance the overall adoption and sales of Arista technology. Partners such as Systems Integrators (SIs) and Value Added Resellers (VARs) in the Arista Channels program have primarily focused on reselling Arista products and services, but are increasing their focus on their own service offerings such as complete solutions design, migration and managed services incorporating Arista components and automation. To aid our Partners in this regard, PS is providing a variety of training packages, tools and technical support toward the creation of successful SDPs. PS is also participating in joint proposals with SDPs and SIs which require PS to scope and develop teaming plans, technical work allocation, and structuring of shadow learning opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze partner services activities with PS Business Development/PMO staff, as well as with Arista sales/SE teams and Channels group
• Understand how SDPs can be prepared and engaged in PS-like customer projects, with Arista PS support or independently, using PS Assure, joint teaming projects and training/best practices knowledge sharing
• Coordinate and lead engagement development activities with PS Business Development Managers (BDMs), Project Delivery Leads (PDLs) and PS consulting Leads, as well as Account Managers, Sales execs, Training and Account/Channel SE managers.
• Identify and build on existing initiatives, programs and information sources
• Master new Arista tools and processes such as AVD, ACT, AGNI, CV Studios, etc. to enable SDP’s construction and adoption into their own solution/service offerings, along with the Channels SE team
• Develop PS processes to identify, track and monitor SDP partners for staff certification, capabilities and quality of PS-like work performed for Arista’s customer
• Develop a updated program to expand and enhance the current Arista Certified Service Partner (ACSP) training into a more complete package, in coordination with Arista’s Channels Program, PS, Training and Sales account planning teams
• Work with PS technical staff, SE staff and Training to organize and expose internal best practices information to emerging SDPs via the Arista Partner Portal or other means
• Work with PS software and automation product staff to support creation of reproducible Arista Validated Design (AVD) CI automation toolkits which SDPs can acquire and use for their own design and managed support engagements 
• Master new Arista tools and processes such as AVD, ACT, AGNI, CV Studios, etc. to enable SDP’s construction and adoption into their own solution/service offerings, along with the Channels SE team
• Develop PS processes to identify, track and monitor SDP partners for staff certification, capabilities and quality of PS-like work performed for Arista’s customers
• Develop a variety of certification standards and re-certification processes for SDPs. SDPs may include specialty consultants as well as established Arista VARs
• Ensure the appropriate contractual agreements with the Arista SDPs are in place to allow the needed commercial transactions to occur
• Develop and create related Arista sales collateral and internal documentation as required

Qualifications

• A Computer Science, engineering, IT or technical focused degree
• Arista product certifications, or willingness to acquire them (ACE, CloudVision, etc.)
• IT certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer and other open source tools
• 10+ years of industry experience focused on complex datacenter and enterprise IT solutions development
• Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all Arista, partner and customer levels
• Experience in design and deployment of complex IT infrastructures and associated management, modeling and performance monitoring tools
• Linux operating system and scripting/API knowledge across multiple open source components
• Experience in developing and coordinating multi-faceted technical and operational planning and implementation support packages with sales partners
• Python and Ansible automation and programming skills in highly integrated Continuous Integration (CI) environments
• Exposure to Agile CI methodologies for infrastructure iterative development and support
• Business and project management skills to implement the SDP effort within Arista and for service partners

Compensation  Information:

The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $132,0000 - 192,000 across the US.

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of
factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s
Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and
