Role Description

We are currently recruiting for a Junior DevOps Engineer on our Information Technology team. This individual will work very closely with many individuals in the firm, collaborate across different technology and trading teams and work on a variety of tasks. An ideal candidate will be reliable, thorough, cautious, able to operate in a fast-paced, low-latency environment and have a collaborative approach to complex problem solving with a positive can-do attitude. • Automate development and infrastructure workflows with tools such as Airflow, Ansible & Jenkins
• Work within and help manage the production systems ensuring consistently high up-time
• Work with developers and operations staff to monitor proprietary systems, storage and compute clusters, always taking a pro-active approach
• Support a diverse range of proprietary applications, real-time and batch jobs and reporting infrastructure
• Ensure production applications are kept up to date and that all supporting processes/scripts associated with releasing or running production applications are working properly on a daily basis
• Work with very large data sets across a variety of database and storage architectures

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows development and distributed production environments
• Worked with Airflow or other workflow management systems
• Experience with full-stack monitoring systems such as Nagios
• Knowledge of CI/CD including Jenkins, Ansible, agile software development methodology 
• Experience with Python and bash scripting

Additional skills/experience that will reflect favorably

• Experience operating within the ELK stack
• An understanding of network fundamentals and protocols
• Knowledge of exchange listed product trading
