Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be flexible to work 12-hour shifts on 3-on/4-off and 4-on/3-off schedules, move to different shifts, and work overtime to support business operations.
  • Must wear lab-specific cleanroom garments 100% of the time and occasionally wear personal protective equipment, including a chemical apron and face shield.
  • Must be certified and trained to operate the necessary laboratory equipment for scanning electron microscope and ETM analysis.
  • Must maintain required training certifications in accordance with area guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inline targeting procedures using scanning electron microscope and ETM tools, including Exsolve, TEM Link, and Metrios, to capture high-quality images.
  • Perform scanning electron microscope analysis requests according to detailed instructions, applying basic cross-sectioning techniques for sample preparation and ETM analysis.
  • Prioritize scanning electron microscope and ETM tasks based on the current request queue and coordinate with supervisors to adjust priorities when necessary.
  • Collaborate with customers, peers, and supervisors to clarify instructions and ensure accurate, targeted results.
  • Complete analysis requests by interpreting collected data and providing well-supported conclusions.
  • Operate necessary laboratory equipment for scanning electron microscope and ETM analysis while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Identify and report minor equipment issues to prevent major disruptions and support laboratory efficiency.
  • Keep technical knowledge current regarding device structures and functions for current and upcoming components.
  • Recommend process improvements and partner with leadership to implement effective changes.
  • Share knowledge and insights to support team collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Use approved artificial intelligence and digital productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve data analysis, report generation, knowledge retrieval, and problem-solving.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to accelerate documentation, communication, and investigation workflows while maintaining data accuracy and engineering judgment.
  • Use artificial intelligence technologies responsibly in accordance with company policies, data protection requirements, and intellectual property safeguards.
Desired Qualifications
  • An AAS or AS degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent trade school or military experience.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience, or equivalent military training and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience identifying performance gaps and implementing strategic improvements.
  • Experience working within a laboratory environment.

Micron closes gap on SK Hynix to 1.6 points in $155B DRAM market race

Micron Technology is closing in on SK Hynix for the second-place position in the global DRAM market, trailing by just 1.6 percentage points in Q2 2026.
