Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Development operations using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Linux-based systems.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Managing platform builds and product integration with platform builds for multiple parallel products.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Shell.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Scrum/Agile software development process.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Bug tracking systems.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Software development using C/C++/Java language.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Android build system.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Gradle build tool.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Vehicle infotainment, telematics, and navigation systems.
Responsibilities
  • Participates in the process of integrating software from T1 vendors, Android Open Source Platform (AOSP), and Android applications developed in GM into the common GM platform baseline for the infotainment domain.
  • Works closely with other DevOps engineers as well as development teams on integration tasks and provides technical leadership for some of the projects within SDV DevOps realm.
  • Participates in defining and implementing team’s innovation roadmap.
  • Integrates Android and Tier-1 vendors supplied software into the common platform baseline.
  • Maintains Android application build and integration lifecycle.
  • Supports GM developers with configuring their applications.
  • Works on setting up and managing DevOps tools.
  • Develops scripts for automating SCM tasks.
  • Drives platform configurability to keep software platform common.
  • Helps with monitoring and optimizing Jenkins builds, including build performance aspects.
  • Setups new branches and new build lines.
  • Takes part in source code synchronization between vendor sites and GM.
  • Participates SCM innovation projects.
  • Supports other Infotainment engineers with the process and tools used for developing software.
