About this role
As the People Lead at Waymark, you will be responsible for building and scaling the People function. Waymark is a remote-first company that includes community based healthcare teams, with a large non-exempt workforce, and corporate support teams working to transform care delivery for patients with Medicaid benefits.
In this role, you will be responsible for owning our employee engagement and experience, talent acquisition, talent management, and learning and development functions, ensuring we build effective, collaborative teams, within an inclusive and belonging culture that supports everyone in doing their best work. You will continue our efforts in building diverse, inclusive teams, support and manage employee relations, institute ways to support a positive and fulfilling work experience for team members, and ensure we have robust talent acquisition and management processes.
You are energized by building systems and processes in a scaling, start-up environment that support engaged employees and are willing to work on the breadth of issues integral to leading a People function. You will report to and partner with the Head of Legal and G&A.
Responsibilities
- Oversee functions that support the business on complex issues including, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and rewards, employee relations, and people development.
- Assess and advance employee engagement and satisfaction, serving as People team contact for all employees across functions and departments, communicating clearly and effectively.
- Analyze people and HR-related metrics and provide useful data to inform decision making, allowing the company to scale efficiently and effectively.
- Manage benefits programs and provide payroll support to Finance team.
- Architect, execute and champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, so that all employees feel a sense of belonging.
- Implement and maintain human resources information systems (HRIS), ensuring HRIS supports programmatic needs.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure compliance with employment-related local, state, and federal laws.
Minimum qualifications
10+ years in People Ops/HR function, with exposure to benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and training and development
- Demonstrated experience leading high functioning teams
- Committed to diversity with a desire to advocate for more inclusive approaches to hiring and retention
- Self-starter, willing to roll up your sleeves, passionate about improving healthcare delivery to underserved communities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate, clearly and effectively, across different business functions, and manage difficult situations confidently and calmly
Preferred qualifications
- People operations experience with an hourly workforce
- Past experience using HR analytics to measure and track performance and success
- Experience working in a high growth, start-up environment
Salary Range: $157,000.00 - $200,000.00 . Compensation will depend on multiple factors, including job location, training, education, and experience.
Benefits and Other Compensation: Medical, vision, dental, basic life insurance, and stock options available for the hired applicant. Employees also receive twenty (20) vacation days, accrued over the year and eleven (11) paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Sixteen (16) weeks of parental leave for birthing parents will also be available for use after successful completion of 6 months of employment, eight (8) weeks of bonding leave for non-birthing parents. Employees are able to enroll in our 401(k) plan and commuter benefits plan.
