Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a relevant Human Resources Generalist role, preferably with a multi-state focus.
  • Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think critically and strategically
  • Adept at building relationships
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws is highly preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of independence.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Create employee profiles in ADP Workforce Now and other websites, conduct background checks and I-9 verification in compliance with E-Verify, process new hire documentation, handle all terminations processing.
  • Design, implement, and manage initiatives that enhance employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws affecting the West Coast region, particularly California.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Educate employees on available benefits and handle related inquiries.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Support the implementation of company-wide development initiatives.
  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, time-to-hire, and employee engagement levels.
  • Use data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking and job evaluations.
  • Promote a safe work environment by supporting the implementation of health and safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the West Coast region.
  • Partner with management to foster a culture of respect and equity.
