Requirements
  • Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license for the state employed.
  • Able to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds infrequently.
  • Able to work independently, quickly, and safely.
  • Can problem-solve and escalate when needed.
  • Knowledge of tractor and trailer functions and their systems.
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to operate all equipment safely.
  • Able to read trailer information, including trailer numbers and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training.
Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate tractors and trailers in the yard safely and efficiently.
  • Move trailers to doors and locations in the yard.
  • Back trailers into dock and yard locations.
  • Hook and unhook trailers.
  • Maintain communication with Dispatch, Yard Coordinators, and Operations Managers via radio.
  • Perform routine safety inspections of vehicles.
  • Complete assigned job tasks accurately and on time.

  • A commercial driver's license is preferred but not required.
