Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED, related military experience, or graduation from a trade or industrial school.
  • Five years of professional experience solving technical problems.
  • Training in skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design or maintenance.
  • A practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Proficiency with computers and technologies, tools, and systems pertinent to the position.
  • Current and active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, manage competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials within established one-person lift guidelines.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders, scaffolding, boom lifts, or scissor lifts.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that products, services, and processes meet quality and safety standards.
  • Test equipment to verify that processes operate effectively and safely.
  • Interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Prepare computer-aided drafting shop drawings for model construction and apply material specifications and fabrication methods.
  • Manage materials, including shipping, receiving, and movement between locations.
  • Control inventory by counting, issuing, and maintaining stock.
  • Review and analyze records in inventory management systems such as GCSS-MC and CMPro.
  • Assess and facilitate the company's logistical functions.
  • Inspect logistical areas for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Determine supply requirements from authorization documents.
  • Arrange the flow of goods within the company.
  • Travel between work locations, including company offices, customer sites, and government installations.
  • Transport and use work equipment, including laptops and job-related tools, during site visits.
  • Communicate with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
  • Work in secure, industrial, outdoor, and potentially hazardous environments as required.
  • Use tools, equipment, and machinery required for the role.
