Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required; a Bachelor of Science in accounting is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of accounting, treasury, finance, or related experience is required, including experience in cash management, debt, banking, or treasury operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement concepts, including how treasury activities flow through financial statements.
  • Demonstrated experience with cash flow forecasting, cash reconciliation, debt management, borrowing, or related financial processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when working with financial data, reconciliations, schedules, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage complicated, interconnected processes independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take ownership, identify issues, follow through on resolutions, and drive projects forward.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use financial systems, banking platforms, reporting tools, and other technology.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including investigating discrepancies and developing practical solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Operations, external accountants, banks, and lenders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to balance hands-on execution with a broader understanding of the company's liquidity, financing, and financial objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and regularly update the company's 13-week cash flow projection, incorporating expected receipts, disbursements, operating requirements, debt activity, and other significant cash movements.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and liquidity across bank accounts and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operating and financing obligations.
  • Post cash entries, perform cash reconciliations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank activity, cash records, and the general ledger.
  • Manage loan repayment and borrowing activities, including coordinating funding requirements, repayments, and related documentation with lenders and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the financing and refinancing of term loans, mortgages, and equipment financing for the business and its affiliates, including coordinating with lenders and internal stakeholders and maintaining related documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain borrowing base reports and supporting schedules in accordance with lender requirements.
  • Prepare monthly or quarterly covenant compliance certificates and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable lender requirements.
  • Monitor debt balances, borrowing availability, repayment schedules, and compliance with applicable lending requirements.
  • Track interest expense, including actual results, accruals, debt activity, and interest rate changes, and prepare interest expense projections for financial planning and forecasting purposes.
  • Maintain accurate schedules for outstanding borrowings, interest expense, and other financing-related activities.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting and FP&A to ensure treasury activity is accurately reflected in financial reporting, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Facilitate state tax return preparation and filing processes in coordination with outside accountants, including gathering information, reviewing supporting schedules, and responding to questions and requests.
  • Lead and coordinate business use tax filings and related compliance requirements.
  • Maintain organized documentation and supporting schedules for treasury, debt, tax, and cash management activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, reporting, controls, and efficiency through technology and automation.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and analyses to support cash management, liquidity planning, borrowing decisions, and other treasury activities.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365.
  • Prior experience with borrowing base reporting, lender reporting, state tax compliance, or business use tax.
