Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of experience in clinical diagnostics, business, life sciences, or healthcare
  • Previous full Profit & Loss management experience is preferred
  • Experience developing and delivering annual operating budgets
  • Commercial experience in working with the C-suite at customers and building lasting partnerships
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Experience selling healthcare products or services to hospitals and health systems, with a solid understanding of managed care
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Northern California/Oregon market
  • Understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Familiarity with the operational procedures at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to inspire employees to live up to their potential and optimize their productivity
  • Mergers and Acquisitions experience is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization to achieve the P&L objectives and business goals. Play an active role in the identification and timely resolution of commercial and field operational issues.
  • Build relationships and create partnerships with the customers in the region.
  • Develop market-specific strategies based on payer and provider landscapes to expand Labcorp presence within the sub region, including investments, partnerships, & M&A prospects.
  • Communicate and implement effective accelerated growth strategies and processes.
  • Position and communicate the vision and services of the organization to customers, business partners and employees by maintaining a high degree of external visibility to enhance the division's credibility and drive competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and people designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  • Build and lead a customer focused, well informed and engaged organization that can communicate the value proposition and contribute to a better customer experience.
  • Create an inclusive and collaborative culture that will drive the region to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, business goals and objectives.

Labcorp launches AI-powered platform with AWS and Datavant to accelerate Alzheimer's research

Labcorp has launched an AI-powered real-world data platform to accelerate Alzheimer's disease research, developed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services and Datavant. The platform aims to generate insights in minutes that previously required months of data analysis. The system combines Labcorp's diagnostic and genomic datasets with medical claims data, using AWS AI services including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker. It enables researchers to identify patient cohorts, track disease progression and measure treatment effectiveness across diverse populations using deidentified healthcare data. With over 7.2 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and annual care costs exceeding $380 billion in the US, the platform addresses traditional challenges of fragmented data and lengthy preparation times. Initial validation will complete in spring 2026, with plans to expand into inflammatory diseases, cardiometabolic conditions, women's health and oncology.

NEW YORK - Laboratory Corporation of America this week said it has completed its acquisition of select assets of Crouse Health's Laboratory Alliance of Central New York's laboratory business.
