Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; healthcare or revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, GETPIVOT, Pivot Tables, etc.) - Required
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize Payer contract analysis models.
  • Work Out-of-network financial evaluation tools.
  • Data models assessing reimbursement opportunities and payer trends.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute billing and revenue reports; assist in reconciling billing system data with the Laboratory Information System. Leverage SQL to query and manipulate billing, financial and operational data for use in analysis and reporting.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using PowerBI, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Analyze billing and reimbursement trends against historical data, peer benchmarks, and performance standards. Support month-end close processes, dashboard reporting, and KPI analysis. Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and revenue trends. Understands the basics of healthcare billing, finance and has a willingness to extend knowledge in this area.
  • Extract data from a variety of systems to obtain essential information by working closely with business unit personnel to develop analysis that does not already exist.
  • Develops effective reporting tools. Prepares recurring reports to support the needs of the business, and looks to continuously improve efficiency of work practices or effectiveness of outputs.
  • Works with the management team of the business unit or the head of the appropriate department to present and discuss findings of analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Managed Care, Accounting, and Sales to validate data and drive insight-based recommendations.
