Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in aerospace test, fabrication, or related field
  • Subject matter expert in one or more technical fields
  • Proficient in work order management systems and other office tools
  • Strong attention to detail and concern for product quality
  • Ability to complete complex projects and make decisions independently
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to influence process or personnel improvements
  • Strong mentorship skills
  • Comfortable providing constructive feedback to others
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Proficient in the operation of aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, and cranes
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Ability to work not standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
  • Track record of safe work habits and desire to collaborate on EHS initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of highly skilled technicians in the fabrication and build of test equipment
  • Interface with and support the factory test engineering team
  • Act as the primary point of contact for processing and distributing work assignments
  • Prioritize tasks across the team
  • Identify path of least resistance when completing new projects
  • Own accountability for the actions of the team and enforce technical or safety standards
  • Manage performance review cycles and build technical acumen amongst the team
  • Perform technical tasks such as electrical installation or troubleshooting, hydraulic diagnostics, fluid system fabrication, lifting and rigging, welding, machine operation, etc.
  • Interact with and operate test equipment while following test procedures
  • Utilize online communication, reporting, file management, or design tools
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with team members
  • Rally effort amongst the team to meet project goals
