Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of the global travel trade landscape and business-to-business hospitality industry, including the operational and commercial operation of tour groups, FIT, and MICE segments.
  • At least 3 years of experience in reservations, hospitality operations, or a similar client-facing operational role, ideally across more than one business line or location.
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams, including hiring and training, with the ability to hold people accountable while advocating for them.
  • Hands-on experience with reservations and rate management systems, including Inntopia, Opera Cloud, Ventrata Delphi.fdc, Salesforce, or Freshdesk, or a strong willingness to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to evaluate requests or ideas on their merits and make and defend decisions with the wider enterprise in mind.
  • Ability to manage relationships and navigate difficult conversations professionally without damaging partnerships.
  • High attention to detail and experience building or maintaining quality control processes across multiple teams or locations.
  • Ability to operate across systems, people, processes, and partners without a narrow functional scope.
  • Legal ability to work in both Canada and the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Operate as a global connector across Hotels, Inside Sales, and Attractions & Transportation.
  • Build and maintain an understanding of how each team operates so standards, decisions, and support are relevant to each discipline.
  • Hold teams accountable to shared standards, key performance indicators, and processes while surfacing their needs, removing blockers, and representing their interests to senior leadership and partners.
  • Apply an enterprise mindset to decisions by considering impacts on the wider business.
  • Set, monitor, and report on key performance indicators across the Travel Trade Reservations function, flag trends, and recommend corrective action.
  • Own in-house hiring and training for the Partner Operations team and ensure consistency in onboarding, process knowledge, and standards across locations.
  • Act as a resource and escalation point for Partner Operations managers without owning their day-to-day work.
  • Develop and improve onboarding and training materials.
  • Build and maintain rate codes across relevant systems for new products, promotions, and partner agreements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and work with information technology and applications teams to resolve root causes.
  • Own and maintain relationships with key travel trade partners.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate partner requests and proposals against business, property, and partnership needs.
  • Deliver difficult messages clearly and constructively while protecting partner relationships.
  • Design, implement, and enforce daily quality control processes for booking accuracy and operational consistency.
  • Coordinate with the Partner Operations leadership team and team managers on workforce planning and role coverage.
  • Review processes for gaps and drive improvements before issues recur.
  • Audit, clean up, and maintain standard operating procedure processes so documentation remains accurate, current, and consistently followed.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for ad hoc issues spanning customer success, accounting, and systems by resolving them or routing them to the appropriate owner.
  • Collaborate with Partner Operations leadership, Sales, and Revenue Management to align activity with broader commercial strategy.
