- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience is required.
- Experience with electronic medical records is required.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Medical Assistant certification is required.
- Room patients, triage, and obtain and document medical history and chief complaints in the electronic medical record.
- Document allergies and medications and obtain informed consent from patients.
- Scribe and assist the provider during examinations and procedures.
- Assist with skin cancer surgeries, medical procedures, and cosmetic procedures.
- Manage prescriptions.
- Call patients back with pathology results and schedule excisions.
- Handle prior authorizations and biologics.
- Clean and restock examination rooms and assist with inventory.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Answer phones, respond to patient questions, schedule appointments, and perform other administrative duties.
- Dermatology experience is preferred.
- Front desk experience is preferred.
