Requirements
  • High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) credential, or equivalent.
  • Experience with document control or configuration management software and standard processes, including file structures, release, and change control processes.
  • Experience with documentation control practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience as a competent role model.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office tools, data entry, graphic applications, computer-aided design (CAD), and photo-editing software.
  • English reading, writing, and verbal proficiency.
  • General mathematics skills and ability.
  • Ability to solve problems, follow up proactively, build relationships, negotiate, maintain accuracy and thoroughness with complex drawings, text, and data, collaborate with matrixed teams, communicate effectively, lead and develop others, lead improvements, manage multiple time-sensitive priorities, organize workload, and work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the document control team by communicating vision, policy, procedures, and plans; coaching and mentoring employees; and implementing constructive and necessary changes.
  • Perform and support day-to-day documentation management activities in collaboration with subject matter experts from Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Facilities.
  • Ensure Quality Management System documentation adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Create, format, edit, route, finalize, file, and maintain controlled documents within the Quality Management System.
  • Create, update, and release manufacturing work instructions, and print production labels to support the manufacturing schedule.
  • Ensure periodic document reviews are conducted within allotted time frames.
  • Provide training and support for questions about Quality Management System processes related to Change Management and Document Control.
  • Perform document preparation work alongside the team, including production documentation and labels, and back up document control personnel as workload requires.
  • Support configuration of the Agile system.
  • Support Information Technology by performing software validations.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and tools to reduce preparation cycle time and errors.
  • Plan and monitor team members' work, allocate resources, delegate authority, define and update job descriptions and expectations, interview and select personnel, manage schedules and time off, approve payroll, and conduct performance management including appraisals and disciplinary action.
  • Serve as a technical resource to production for process operation, improvement, and problem solving.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical, engineering, or business certification or degree.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or AS9100 quality standards.
  • Basic knowledge of bills of material, component identification, and printed circuit board assembly.
  • Documentation experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDocP).
