This position is part of a team providing circuit optimization and systems services for 7th Signal Command (Theater) with remote duties and in person at Fort Eisenhower (Fort Gordon). The team supports the reception of designated circuit lists and development of comprehensive circuit migration plans for designated circuits from ORGNETS/Customers to ARCYBER control. ORGNET Discovery Teams assess identified networks for convergence and require dedicated engineering support to ensure the convergence plan is technically feasible and acceptable for all stakeholders. The team supports ORGNET Discovery & Planning by providing IT technical consulting and systems engineering services.

Great Hill is seeking a Systems Engineer in Fort Eisenhower (Fort Gordon). The objective of this work is to support synchronizing circuit migrations with ongoing discovery/convergence schedule and plans. This position requires on site presence. Until the government customer requests the team to return, it is presently hybrid (90% remote / 10% on site).

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• coordination with appropriate staff and adjacent discovery efforts
• liaison with ORGNET/Customer to ensure Periods of Non-Disruption (Networks) (POND) are considered during planning and scheduling
• provide engineering solution for cutover plan
• support  Telecommunications Service Order (TSO) change order requirements
• liaison with appropriate engineering teams and Brigade POCs during cutover/installation phase

Basic Qualifications:

• Education/degree: BA/BS in computer sciences or related field, or equivalent years of experience
• Years of experience for above experience: 5 years
• Familiar with major network services used today within Army WAN, LAN and Enterprise services such as active directory, compute and store, endpoint security, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft InTune
• Familiar with Cisco and Juniper hardware, VoIP, Cisco IOS/XR, Juno OS, and other network technologies / operating systems
• Excellent ability to multi-task and track multiple independent concurrent projects and manage them to resolution in a timely manner
• Excellent verbal and/or written communication skills
• Experience dealing with customer issues, data requests, analysis, and escalations
• Clearance level:  Secret

Desired Skills:

• Familiar with Wide Area Network (WAN) and other long-haul telecommunications circuit terminology, concepts, and technologies such as Time Division Multiplexing (TDP), Internet Protocol (IP) Transport, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), etc
• Long-haul circuit management and/or technical control facility experience
• Familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defense Information Services Network (DISN) transport service offerings
• Project management related certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Project+, or other similar certification (Desired)
• Vendor certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (Desired)
• Industry standard security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) (Desired)
