Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field, preferably in an apparel environment.
  • A strong foundation in logistics coordination and shipment tracking is required.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, vendors, factories, and/or carriers is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team is required.
Responsibilities
  • Track and monitor international and domestic shipments from origin through final delivery.
  • Maintain accurate shipment status updates and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, third-party logistics warehouses, and other logistics partners.
  • Follow up with vendors and factories regarding shipment readiness, booking information, estimated times of departure, estimated times of arrival, documentation, and delivery requirements.
  • Review shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate shipment delays, changes, and exceptions to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Ensure shipments meet required delivery dates and company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and provide regular reporting and updates to the Logistics team.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with overseas vendors and factories.
  • Communicate directly with factories regarding shipping requirements, production readiness, carton information, and documentation.
  • Work with vendors to resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, documentation issues, and other logistics-related concerns.
  • Ensure factories understand and follow company shipping and labeling requirements.
  • Partner with Production and other teams to align factory readiness with shipping timelines.
  • Work closely with Production, Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and Logistics to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • Provide shipment updates and relevant information to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with resolving issues that affect customer delivery dates, inventory availability, or financial processing.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between internal teams, vendors, and logistics service providers.
  • Support and maintain the company’s GS1/UCC-128 carton labeling program.
  • Coordinate with vendors and factories to ensure carton labels are created and applied according to company and customer requirements.
  • Review and troubleshoot UCC-128 label issues and work with factories to correct discrepancies.
  • Assist with cartonization of goods, including carton quantities, and ensure compliance with program guidelines.
  • Work with factories to ensure cartonization and labeling information is accurate before goods ship.
  • Help ensure carton information aligns with purchase orders, shipping documentation, and customer requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with international shipping and familiarity with import processes.
  • Experience with GS1, UCC-128 labeling, or retail carton labeling requirements.
  • Experience with cartonization, carton packing information, or factory packing compliance.
  • Experience working directly with overseas apparel factories.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Apparel industry experience.
