TCGPlayer announces new compact Roca Sifter card sorting device for hobby stores and avid collectors. Published: March 2, 2026 5:29 PM TCGPlayer has announced the launch of a new card sorting device. The massive digital card retailer's new device, the Roca Sifter, is a smaller machine, designed to help hobby stores and avid individual collectors to sort and identify desired cards in their collection. The Roca Sifter device announcement. According to an official press release, the Roca Sifter is the latest piece of automation technology designed to support card sellers. The device is about the size of a standard printer and is intended to help mitigate the workflow of sorting and identifying cards. It is designed to hold up to 400 cards at a time and can process up to 1,800 cards an hour. In essence, the Sifter is a smaller version of another TCGPlayer device: the massive inventory sorting Roca Sorter. "The Roca Sifter addresses the most time-consuming parts of sorting and pricing trading card games, at a scale, price point, and with features that are a first for the industry," said Robert Bigler, CEO of TCGplayer. "The introduction of Roca Sifter reinforces TCGplayer's commitment to supporting local hobby shops, individual sellers, and retailers who are the heart of this industry with best-in-class solutions that help them connect their inventory with the player and collector community." The press release includes the Roca Sifter's unique features. The device is built on proprietary technology that was developed in partnership with Xerox. It sports a new foil detection feature; an industry first. and can identify, sort, and price cards accordingly based on customizable criteria. The device is even compatible with most premium card sleeves. Other key features of the device include continuous running mode for uninterrupted operation and full integration with the TCGPlayer Seller Portal. At launch, the Roca Sifter will support four different popular trading card games. Those games are Hasbro's behemoth Magic: The Gathering, The Pokemon Company's Pokemon TCG, Ravensburger's Disney Lorcana, and Toei's One Piece card game. Other card game support may come in the future through software updates. The Roca Sifter will be available at an MSRP of $799 with a $25 monthly subscription (billed at $300 monthly). This subscription covers software updates alongside the replacement of any consumable parts. Shipping will begin on September 2026. Many of today's most sought-after sets sell out quickly in the U.S., with prices rising shortly after release. Presales give global buyers the chance to: * Lock in products before release-day shortages * Avoid secondary market markups * Secure sealed items while the inventory is at its highest With MyUS handling U.S. delivery and international forwarding, presales become a level playing field, not a race you're forced to watch from the sidelines. The future of global collecting starts now. Trading card games are global, and access should be too. Whether you're securing Riftbound on release day, pre-ordering TMNT, or locking in the next Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Lorcana expansion, MyUS and TCGplayer are breaking down borders for collectors everywhere. MyUS always aim to bring its members the best shopping options available, but some of the products featured in this post may have purchase restrictions.
