Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional information technology support experience.
  • US citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for at least the last five years.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record).
  • Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance.
  • Pass all pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • Pass a medical examination and meet health requirements.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Maintain current/physical residence in the continental United States.
  • Strong knowledge of information technology systems including Windows operating system, networking, and peripheral devices.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and hardware/software diagnostics.
  • Familiar with Key Watcher systems and biometric registration.
  • Working knowledge of radio communications hardware and firmware.
  • Skilled in running network and communication cable.
  • Ability to interpret and follow federal information technology privacy, security, and operational protocols.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a secure environment and respond to urgent information technology issues.
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot information technology systems with minimal supervision.
  • Take responsibility for information technology performance and asset management.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing all company-owned electronic equipment and information technology infrastructure. This includes computers, laptops, key control systems, biometric hardware, security radios, and networking components. The position requires technical expertise and operational awareness to ensure continuous information technology support and compliance with federal information technology security and privacy regulations. The information technology administrator serves as a liaison to ICE information technology and travels to other facilities as needed to support operations and new startups.
  • Maintain all company-issued electronics including desktops, laptops, printers, and information technology accessories.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan for information technology systems.
  • Provide on-call technical support and emergency response as needed.
  • Travel as needed to support information technology setup, training, and startup operations.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and biometric setup of Key Watcher systems.
  • Perform regular Key Watcher preventive maintenance and coordinate with manufacturer support.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on security radios, including hardware and programming updates.
  • Run and organize company owned information technology cabling and networking throughout the facility.
  • Conduct VAV booth inspections and minor electronic diagnostics or repairs.
  • Ensure all company systems and software is current and compliant with information technology security requirements.
  • Procure, configure, and deploy information technology equipment for approved employees.
  • Provide information technology support and preventive maintenance for Secure Track and Top Shelf Program.
  • Track all government-furnished information technology equipment within the facility hardwire infrastructure.
  • Communicate and coordinate with ICE IT regarding ICE system issues.
  • Educate AIP staff on the confidentiality of personally identifiable information and federal privacy requirements.
  • May be required to travel as needed.
  • May be assigned additional duties by the Facility Director or Assistant Facility Director.
