OHCA purchases health care services using state and federal funds, focusing on cost control, quality assurance, and accessibility for low-income individuals and vulnerable populations. The agency analyzes strategies to improve health outcomes and fosters partnerships to enhance the quality of care. Unlike private health care providers, OHCA operates within the public sector, prioritizing fiscal responsibility and the efficient use of resources to serve the community's health needs.
