- 7+ years’ experience in software QA and/or development, with experience working on 3 or more projects from requirements inception to product release
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Management or Test Coordinator
- Understand existing test bed (if any), understand the new requirements and specifications
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple levels of the organization
- Experience with testing web-based and mainframe applications and testing environments
- Experience with real-time web services and batch feed testing
- Ensure that ambiguity reviews, test plans, and scripts are complete and accurate and that testing is executed on-time and within budget
- Ensure that testing is performed in a consistent and traceable manner
- Determine complete scope, complexity and size of testing effort, possibly assign work out to subordinate testers, develop and execute test cases
- Ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards
- Report on QA status to the project team and upper management
- Demonstrate follow-through on tracking/resolving application and environmental issues discovered during testing
- Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects
- Experienced with Mercury Test Management tools (Quality Center, Test Director) and Rational ClearQuest Defect Tracking tool, or similar defect tracking tools
- Experience with testing automation tools
- Experience in the use of HP Quality Center tool as support of the QA process
- Experience working with offshore teams a plus
- Proven track record in recommending and implementation of QA best practices
