Requirements
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Current appropriate Registered Nurse state licensure in the primary state of residence is required.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain Registered Nurse state licensure in assigned states as directed.
  • The employee must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.
  • A minimum of one year of dialysis experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
  • Current Certified Dialysis Nurse or Certified Nephrology Nurse certification is preferred, or it must be attained within 18 months of employment.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of CPR Basic Life Support certification and all annual and ongoing required education, training, and competencies are required.
  • The employee must be able to frequently stand for prolonged periods and bend over.
  • The employee may be required to move, with assistance, machines and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds and lift chemical and water solutions weighing up to 30 pounds as high as five feet.
  • The employee must be able to work in a health care facility environment and may be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases or materials.
Responsibilities
  • Support the training and education of employees in company facilities and programs within an assigned geographical area.
  • Deliver standardized, competency-based training and development programs, including new employee orientation, preceptor training, facility-specific in-services, and clinical, quality, and customer service training programs.
  • Align activities and actions with regional, group, and corporate business-related goals.
  • Adhere to standards and scope of nursing practice, company policies and procedures, compliance, regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
  • Focus programs on patient safety, clinical quality goals, and improved patient outcomes using company and industry guidelines and standards.
  • Develop competency and skills to educate personnel in all chronic kidney disease treatment programs.
  • Promote lifelong learning through professional programs, coaching, and available technologies.
  • Collaborate with relevant partners to schedule, provide, and implement education programs, technologies, and processes for new and current personnel.
  • Use appropriate educational venues and generational learning techniques to deliver, support, and and evaluate training.
  • Partner in implementing action plans through resolution, as appropriate.
  • Use facilitation techniques and available tools and resources to promote immersive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Maintain open, effective, and timely communication with internal and external customers, including company management, facility teams, government agencies, physicians, hospitals, and contracted travel personnel.
  • Support metric and key performance indicator programs through timely and complete data documentation, reporting, and ongoing quality improvement processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, and strategies to support and train staff appropriately in all treatment modalities.
  • Train new employees through demonstration and oversight of direct patient care-related activities.
  • Travel between assigned facilities and other community locations, and attend regional, departmental, or corporate meetings as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • An advanced degree, specifically a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing, is preferred.
  • Certified Dialysis Nurse or Certified Nephrology Nurse certification is preferred.
