  • Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences, or an equivalent degree from an American Library Association-accredited program.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience working with open educational resources.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the WisTech Open project team, editors, subject matter experts, and faculty developers to successfully deliver OER-funded creation projects.
  • Research and harvest existing open educational resources or public-domain content for faculty and subject matter experts.
  • Meet regularly with subject matter experts and faculty developers to understand resource and content needs.
  • Collaborate with the learning designer consultant to ensure content is accessible and meets universal design for learning guidelines.
  • Provide backup support to transpose originally created content into Pressbooks, ensuring usability and accessibility.
  • Ensure that copyright and fair-use standards are respected according to federal regulations, and review and create citations, attributions, and references for all projects.
  • Assign appropriate Creative Commons licenses to finished projects.
  • Share published content in the institutional repository, WISELearn, the WTCS OER index, and/or the Pressbooks directory.
  • Facilitate OER training courses for faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Initiate, plan, and develop tutorials and supporting instructional materials for specific library resources, OER, copyright, citations, and related topics.
  • Consult with and support WTCS colleges in curating content, open licensing, and training.
  • Attend weekly team meetings, one-on-ones, and other required meetings.
