The Junior Salestrader position at Seaport Global is an opportunity for a motivated, self-starter to join an independent, institutional sales and trading powerhouse. The Junior Salestrader will gain direct experience working with the industry’s top producers at a firm that cultivates client relationships by providing comprehensive market knowledge and superior real-time execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Market products to clients providing market analysis and insight
Maintain communication with traders, research, and back-office departments
Stay up to date with financial market news and market conditions
Learn from and back up senior sales staff, establishing meaningful client relationships

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of trading/trading desk experience
Coding background required
Microsoft Excel proficiency required
Series 7 and 63 licenses strongly preferred
Strong communication/phone skills required
Exceptional ability to prioritize and multi-task required
Bloomberg knowledge preferred
College Degree required; related area of study preferred

Compensation: $75-100k annual salary; year-end bonus eligible
