About the Job

As a Senior AI/LLM Engineer (Conversational Systems), you’ll design and build LLM-powered assistants and ChatOps systems that integrate seamlessly into Slack and other collaboration tools. You’ll combine backend Python engineering with AI/ML development, orchestrating pipelines that use LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, GPT, RAG) and vector databases to interact intelligently with business data.

This role requires both technical depth in AI systems and the creativity to push the boundaries of conversational AI in high-impact, production-grade environments. You’ll work in a 0→1 product setting, taking ownership of AI-first features that directly shape BLOCKS’ platform and customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Build LLM-based conversational systems (Slack bots, ChatOps agents, intelligent assistants).

• Design and orchestrate AI pipelines using LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, GPT), RAG, vector databases, and LangChain.

• Develop Python backend services that integrate LLM outputs with real-time business data.

• Apply prompt engineering best practices to improve reliability and accuracy of responses.

• Enable collaboration workflows by embedding AI systems into Slack and similar tools.

• Drive end-to-end ownership of AI-first features in a fast-paced, startup environment.

What You Bring

• Strong Python backend and AI/ML engineering expertise.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, GPT, or similar).

• Proven track record building conversational AI systems (Slack bots, AI agents, chatbots).

• Proficiency with prompt engineering, RAG, and vector databases.

Strong Plus

• Cloud automation or integration of LLMs with DevOps/FinOps systems.

• Familiarity with LangChain, embeddings, semantic search.

• Prior startup/0→1 product experience.
