- Prior subcontract leadership experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage six staff members.
- A minimum high school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of industrial construction subcontract management experience involving subcontracts of more than $100 million and/or more than 350 craft or subcontractors, including prior supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate in person, by telephone, email, video chat, and software systems.
- Ability to maneuver around construction sites with rough terrain, with climbing potentially required, and lift 10 pounds.
- Ability to work at construction sites and industrial facilities with mobility required on the ground and at heights and use required personal protective equipment, including hardhats, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection, masks or respirators, safety vests, gloves, and work boots.
- Manage medium-complexity, medium-risk fabricate-and-install or engineering, procurement, and construction subcontracts.
- Perform contract administration and field coordination duties on medium- to large-size projects.
- Develop subcontracting strategies and request-for-proposal packages for medium-complexity subcontracts, direct request-for-proposal efforts, recommend awards, and negotiate contracts.
- Manage post-award commercial activities for assigned portfolios of complex services and subcontract agreements.
- Oversee field subcontract execution to ensure work remains within scope and commercial requirements, is performed safely, meets quality goals, and is completed on schedule.
- Analyze project data for cost effectiveness and schedule compliance against commercial requirements and project goals.
- Manage costs to ensure adherence to project-specific budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain the integrity of records for assigned agreements and ensure all documents are available and auditable.
- Negotiate change orders and back charges in alignment with subcontract agreement commercial terms.
- Ensure appropriate approval authorities are obtained before executing commitments.
- Manage turnover and closeout of assigned contracts.
- Experience with Primavera software.
- Experience with Oracle.
- Project Management Institute certification.

Zachry Group awarded Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for NiSource's Combined Cycle Generation Project. SAN ANTONIO-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Zachry Group (Zachry) has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for NiSource Inc.'s Combined Cycle Generation Project, a major infrastructure project located near Wheatfield, Indiana. The facility will support NiSource's delivery of electricity to a third-party customer and includes two nominal 1,300-megawatt gas-fired combined cycle units in a 2 x 2 x 1 configuration. A subsidiary of NiSource Inc. will own and operate the facility. The EPC contract will be executed by a joint venture between Zachry Group and Quanta Services, Inc. (Quanta). Zachry will lead engineering, procurement, project management, construction planning, and commissioning, drawing on its five decades of experience designing and building over 100 gas-fired facilities totaling more than 60,000 megawatts. Quanta will contribute field-level leadership and craft workforce management through its operating companies. This collaborative approach is designed to enhance execution certainty, optimize labor resources, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality infrastructure.
