Requirements
  • 5+ years of analyst experience.
  • Experience with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), OTM (Oracle Transportation Management, internet search engines and email systems are required.
  • Demonstrates effective communication with both internal and external customers and across multiple layers of the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, with potential unplanned travel.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the on-time delivery of units in the CarMax network.
  • Manage Aged units in-transit within the CarMax network.
  • Determine market and regional planning strategies to ensure service levels are maintained through the region they are responsible for.
  • Review and approve daily plans from the Standardized shipment planner.
  • Identify teachable moments for use of planning tools in daily job functions.
  • Manage and develop training for the rollout of new tools and processes.
  • Manage the tracking of shipments to ensure all performance indicators are met and store delivery expectations are met.
  • Lead cross-functional partnerships between fleet, dedicated fleet and third-party carrier operations teams to develop and execute optimal routing solutions.
  • Proactively identify cost savings opportunities within the CarMax network, identify what carriers will provide the best service for cost.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of logistics planning experience preferred.
  • 4-year degree in Management, Business or Supply Chain preferred.
