Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in loan processing or a similar role is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of collateral and perfecting liens is required.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the client journey through processing new PCA loans, including product delivery activities before, during, and after closing.
  • Serve as a client point of contact and establish strong relationships through consistent service.
  • Identify client needs proactively and resolve requests by phone, online, and in person.
  • Collaborate with Financial Officers across Compeer locations to obtain pre-qualification information and gather prospect or client information needed to qualify loan opportunities.
  • Work proactively with Financial Officers across regions to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare accurate operating and term loan documents from application through finalization, including monitoring closing conditions.
  • Serve as the Deal Champion on submitted loans by maintaining broad knowledge of Association processes and policies.
  • Assist with Territorial Concurrence procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of loan pricing and fees, document exception approvals, prepare rate-lock agreements, and monitor closing deadlines.
  • Complete loan verification requirements related to loan documents and review entity and trust documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with relevant parties to ensure loan conditions are satisfied.
  • Approve loan disbursements and book loans.
  • Perfect lien positions by following up on UCC terminations and other lien releases, obtaining vehicle titles, and ensuring first-lien position.
  • Obtain assignments of indemnity when required for insurance.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the chattel tracking system and coordinate with teammates to enhance the client experience.
  • Maintain understanding of and ensure compliance with regulations and procedures associated with loan closing.
  • Provide backup support to the office location as needed, including coverage during business hours.

  • General knowledge of farming operations and agriculture is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Compeer’s policies, processes, loan products, digital tools, and services is preferred.

So should insurers and agricultural lenders offer farmers that look after their soil a ‘good soil discount’?. While it’s generally understood that cover cropping, reduced tillage, and crop rotations benefit soil, these practices are by no means ubiquitous, not least because there are high upfront costs, the benefits don’t come overnight, and there are no immediate financial incentives, says soil health nonprofit Land Core.
