Requirements
  • Experience with PHP-FPM
  • Experience with Python or Go is a plus.
  • Experience in Linux Virtualization technologies like KVM, Qemu, and Libvirt performance and operations at scale. Experience with MicroVMs is a plus.
  • A strong belief in documentation as a core aspect of engineering.
  • Experience developing modern distributed applications with reliable REST interfaces and distributed messaging technologies such as Kafka or Nats.io
  • Experience with configuration management solutions like Puppet and Ansible is a plus.
  • Experience with Windows is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with our Engineering teams to improve existing functionality and features of our PHP monolithic control plane and server-side code.
  • Lead the effort to transition our PHP applications to modern frameworks like Laravel.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support the resourcing and deployment of new features.
  • Work to improve observability, help with automation, and develop or expand our pipelines.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other developers within the team.
  • Work closely with the platform engineering team to enable their efforts within the PHP control plane and collaborate with other developers across various teams as needed.
