Creating character in commercial interiors with Eurobrick. 18 August 2026 As commercial interior designers and fit-out specialists continue to seek materials that combine aesthetics with practicality, brick slip systems continue being used to bring the character of traditional brickwork into modern retail and commercial spaces. A recent project at the new UNIQLO store in Cabots Circus, Bristol, demonstrates how brick slips can be used to create striking interior features while overcoming many of the challenges associated with conventional masonry construction. For the retailer's first South West store, approximately 175m^2 of Eurobrick's I-Clad system was installed with Classic range Topaz brick slips and matching corners. Working with contractor UC Build Ltd and installer ML Brickwork (Southern), the system was used primarily within the store's central stairwell, as well as on feature wall areas in the two-storey retail space. The result is an authentic brick finish that adds warmth, texture and visual interest to the contemporary store environment. While exposed brickwork remains a popular design choice across retail, hospitality, leisure and workplace projects, achieving the look using traditional construction methods is not always practical. Space constraints, structural limitations, installation programmes and refurbishment requirements can all make full masonry construction difficult to accommodate. Interior brick slip systems offer an alternative approach, delivering the appearance and texture of real brickwork in a slim, lightweight format. Because the systems require significantly less depth than traditional brickwork, they help maximise valuable internal floor space. I-Clad has been developed specifically for interior applications and is suitable for commercial environments, including retail stores, restaurants, offices, leisure facilities and public spaces. The system provides a durable, low-maintenance finish that is designed to withstand the demands of busy customer-facing environments while offering the design flexibility needed to create standout feature walls, stairwells and focal points. The UNIQLO Bristol project highlights the role that brick slip systems can play in contemporary interior design, enabling architects, designers and contractors to achieve the timeless appeal of brick without the compromises often associated with traditional masonry construction. As designers of commercial spaces increasingly focus on creating memorable environments and enhancing customer experience, solutions that combine authenticity, practicality and efficient installation are becoming ever more important.
Everyday dressing gets a city-living update in UNIQLO's Fall/Winter 2026 collection. 10:24 pm on 18 August 2026, Tuesday City life rarely follows a fixed schedule. A typical day can move from a morning commute to a long day at work, an unexpected change in plans, and an evening out, often requiring an outfit that can keep up without requiring a complete wardrobe change. That idea of adaptability sits at the heart of UNIQLO's 2026 Fall/Winter collection, which draws from "Modern City Living" to reinterpret everyday LifeWear through practical silhouettes, layering pieces and comfortable fabrics. Unveiled at a recent press event in the Philippines, the collection brings together familiar wardrobe staples with updated cuts and textures. Among the standout bottoms are the Baggy Barrel Leg Jeans, known for their relaxed barrel silhouette, and the EZY Wide Straight Jeans, which combine the appearance of denim with the comfort of a sweatpant. Culottes are also featured as a genderless option that can be styled across different looks. For layering, the lineup includes the Harrington Jacket, Denim Trucker Jacket and Coverall, offering lighter outerwear options suited to everyday wear in the Philippines. The Fleece range, meanwhile, comes in various styles and colors and is designed to provide warmth without feeling overly heavy, making it particularly useful for trips to colder destinations. The collection also extends beyond conventional casualwear. Sport Utility Wear (SUW) offers pieces intended for movement, whether for errands, light activities or more active pursuits. Knits include Souffle Yarn styles made with 100% extra fine merino wool, alongside Smooth Cotton Knits for those who prefer cotton. Loungewear and Innerwear are likewise designed to transition between staying in and stepping out. Adding a local touch to the launch, award-winning actress and host Anne Curtis was introduced as UNIQLO's newest local celebrity partner. She demonstrated the collection through two looks, including a relaxed combination of the Zip Up Short Jacket, JW Anderson Boxy Oxford Long Sleeve Shirt, Ribbed Henley Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt and Baggy Barrel Leg Jeans. For a softer layered look, she paired the Fluffy Yarn Fleece Full-Zip Jacket with the UNIQLO: C Milano Ribbed Full-Zip Cardigan and Baggy Barrel Leg Jeans. Other local partners, including Alexa Ilacad, Anthony Constantino, Emilio Daez, Kianna Dy, Matteo Guidicelli and Solenn Heussaff, also presented their interpretations of the collection across categories ranging from AIRism and sweats to cashmere, outerwear and Smart Culottes. Beyond the seasonal lineup, the Fall/Winter season marks the 10th anniversary of UNIQLO U and the upcoming launch of the UNIQLO: C Fall/Winter collection. New Core T and UT designs will also feature themes including Manga 100th, YOASOBI, Pokémon, Ukiyo-e, Peanuts and New York pop art. The season also brings local community initiatives. UNIQLO Philippines is implementing the PEACE FOR ALL initiative locally in partnership with Plan International Pilipinas, supporting underserved Filipino youth, particularly young women, through skills development, employability and entrepreneurship opportunities. Proceeds from every new PEACE FOR ALL collection purchase will support the initiative, including its program in Valenzuela City, alongside the broader global program for the next three years. Meanwhile, Re.UNIQLO Special Artisan Patches were recently introduced to mark the 70th Friendship Year between the Philippines and Japan. Created with local artisans nationwide, the patches feature landmarks and cultural elements from both countries and can be added to UNIQLO pieces through the Re.UNIQLO Studio Embroidery Service. The 2026 Fall/Winter collection is available through UNIQLO Philippines.

Discover more Celebrity feature articles Restaurant review service Geographic Reference Rather than simply presenting the collection on racks, the preview brought the clothes to life through the people wearing them. Throughout the event, UNIQLO ambassadors and influencers showcased their favorite looks from the Fall/Winter lineup, demonstrating how the latest pieces could work across different occasions. Guests could see how individual pieces could be mixed and matched - from casual everyday outfits to more polished looks - showing the versatility that has become closely associated with the UNIQLO wardrobe. The preview also highlighted the appeal of having dependable pieces that can easily become part of a daily rotation. Adding fresh energy to the event was the introduction of Emilio Daez as the newest UNIQLO Philippines brand ambassador. His debut gave the afternoon another highlight as he joined the growing roster of personalities representing the brand in the Philippines. Anne's addition brings a recognizable figure with a strong connection to fashion and lifestyle into the UNIQLO family. Her presence also gives the brand's upcoming campaigns an exciting new personality as the Fall/Winter season approaches. Beyond the celebrity appearances and ambassador reveals, the event ultimately returned to what UNIQLO does best: showing how clothing can fit naturally into everyday life. The new Fall/Winter pieces were presented in a way that allowed guests to imagine themselves wearing them - not simply on special occasions, but while working, traveling, meeting friends, or going through an ordinary day. That practical approach made the preview feel less like a traditional fashion presentation and more like a styling session for the season ahead. With its newest arrivals on display and two notable additions to its ambassador lineup, UNIQLO Philippines gave guests plenty to look forward to for the coming season. Uniqlo's sweet Mario Kart World t-shirts are now available. * by Jim Norman * Yesterday, 2:30am Earlier this Summer, Uniqlo revealed its first Switch 2 clothing range by lifting the lid on a Mario Kart World collection. It was only announced for Japan at the time, but surprise, it has arrived in Europe today and is coming to North America "soon". The Japanese clothing brand is no stranger to a Nintendo collab, having previously released ranges for the likes of Zelda, Splatoon and Pokémon, and the MKW collection boasts more of the same graphic goodness. There are four different tee options in adults' sizing (men's XS-3XL) available for £19.90 / $29.90 - we're particularly taken with the retro-inspired back graphic on the black shirt - while the kids' range has a few more designs to pick from, and even includes some hoodies, too. You'll find the full collection on the Uniqlo website, but here are a handful of our favourite pieces: The clothing brand also has a couple of Pokémon collaborations still available, along with the Mario Galaxy Movie range and some Minecraft-themed pieces. It's a good time to be a fan of a nerdy graphic tee! What do you make of Uniqlo's Mario Kart World collection? Let us know in the comments.
