- Plan, schedule, and coordinate meaningful activities appropriate to residents’ needs and interests and supportive of their physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Engage residents in Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Personal Care while working with the Activities Team to deliver programs and activities throughout the community.
- Assist with planning and coordinating reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, entertainment, outside trips, special events, and one-to-one visits.
- Promote a healthy community culture for residents and employees.
- Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff concerning disease prevention and management within the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
- Lead daily resident activities according to community standards.
- Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to community standards.
- Plan and execute diverse programs for residents who are newly retired, require physical assistance, or are experiencing varying stages of memory loss.
- An associate’s degree is preferred.
- Six months of experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment is preferred.
