Requirements
  • Experience working with children ages 18 months to 6 years is required, although applicable experience outside this age range will be considered.
  • Availability is required on weekday evenings between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and/or weekends between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday.
  • The candidate must be reliable and professional.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with children and deliver feedback to parents.
  • The candidate must be physically fit and able to coach soccer skills and games with young children for two or more hours.
  • Availability through the summer and winter seasons is required.
Responsibilities
  • Coach children from approximately 18 months through 13 years in fun, engaging soccer activities that progress from organized activities to kicks, goals, scrimmages, competitive play, game-like situations, and skill development.
  • Engage young children through playful, fun, and imaginative activities.
  • Interact effectively with children, parents, and co-workers while delivering feedback to parents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with children ages 2 to 6 years.
  • Experience coaching both toddler and youth age groups.
  • Experience with young-child sports organizations such as SportBall, City Camps, or Pedalheads.
  • Experience in soccer environments such as Little Kickers, Timbits Soccer, or house leagues.
  • Coaching certification such as Active Start, FUNdamentals, or Learn to Train.
