  • Typical requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; CSP (Certified Safety Professional) licensure; Professional licensure CSP is required; 7+ years of experience in safety management; minimum of three (3) years managing safety and occupational health at hazardous waste site cleanup or radioactive waste sites; extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental health and safety practices; ability to manage and implement safety programs; ability to perform risk assessments; knowledge of regulatory compliance and training.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the engagement team as Key Management Personnel and develop and implement safety programs; conduct risk assessments; ensure compliance with safety regulations; possess authority to shut down site work if health and safety issues arise; enlist support of safety and occupational health professionals for sites with multiple hazards; develop, maintain, and oversee the Site Health and Safety Plan; visit project sites to audit effectiveness of the Accident Prevention Plan and Site Safety and Health Plan; remain available for project emergencies; evaluate occupational exposure and monitoring data impacting APP/SSHP requirements; for projects involving radioactive material, identify any specific requirements in task order RFP.
Desired Qualifications
  • CSP licensure preferred; Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health Physicist (CHP) considered for project requirements; extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental health and safety practices; 7+ years in safety management; Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety; strong communication and Microsoft Office proficiency as listed in competencies.
