Started by ex-computer scientists, physicists, and quants, we felt firsthand how the lack of tools to prepare quality training data was impeding the progress of building practical AI. AI feels to us like what the early days of computing or the internet must have felt like, where the potential of the technology is clear, but the tools and processes surrounding it are terrible. We have devised a unique methodology for automating the tasks related to preparing quality training data, in effect turning the training data problem into a data science problem.

We’re looking for someone who knows content and SEO like the back of their hand. They’ll need to manage the creation of content for the Encord blog (and other channels) and ensure this content gets to the top of the search listings. You’ll be a pro at managing a team of content writers and have a laser focus sub-editing copy to make it shine. 

You’ll also need to be well versed in modern content SEO techniques, ensuring the content we’re producing reflects what we need to get found by our audience. At the same time, you’ll have a keen eye for producing content that both satisfies SEO and is something our audience wants to read. 

And finally, you’ll have a passion for content. You’ll need to be creating content regularly, both long and short form. We’ll want you to be regularly looking for opportunities to create content - such as new blog opportunities or social media formats.  

Responsibilities 

- Managing an evolving content calendar 

- Work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop a content strategy that supports growth and revenue goals

- Managing a team of internal and external writers

- Prioritising internal content requests 

- Planning a balanced mix of SEO content and technical machine learning practitioner content 

- Create briefs for content writers to ensure content is produced efficiently

- Managing distribution of content and identifying new opportunities for promotion

- Regularly drafting blog posts, social media posts etc

- Tracking industry trends and competitors to identify content opportunities

- Optimising all written content for SEO

- Tracking and reporting on content performance

- 5+ years of experience managing and creating content

- A background in B2B SaaS writing, beneficial if it is in the AI or developer space

- Demonstrable SEO knowledge and experience 

- Experience managing a team of writers 

- A willingness to learn about new SEO / content techniques and formats
