Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification.
  • Audit experience or training in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality and EHS Integrated Management System for the Norwich site to meet and exceed ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Follow, train, and hold site employees accountable for Quality and EHS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
  • Run and facilitate understanding of the integrated management system for site accreditations and host external ISO audits.
  • Manage external customer quality for Norwich-manufactured products, measured by Defective Parts Per Million, and use the FBS Toolset to improve defect rates.
  • Investigate, resolve, and close all site non-conformances, including root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Lead FMEA activities for new and existing product lines, working with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to assess quality risks and implement containment and preventive action plans.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for overall product quality by working with Production Managers and Team Leaders to ensure shipped products meet defined quality standards.
  • Escalate major quality issues to Global Quality and apply Stop Ship enforcement when required.
  • Act as an EX, ETL, or CSA representative on site when required, hosting external auditors to ensure products comply with relevant safety and compliance requirements.
  • Train and facilitate training for team members on defined standard processes and ensure ongoing adherence.
  • Use the Daily Management process to manage team performance, drive improvement, and prioritize production support activities.
  • Attend required meetings, one-to-one reviews, and performance appraisal reviews and actively participate in them.
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement events, including Kaizens.
  • Participate in Daily Management meetings to report achieved results, drive problem solving, and manage business expectations.
  • Act as an influencer and champion for the Quality and EHS function on site.
  • Coach site team members on Quality and EHS policies to ensure adherence.
  • Hold peers and other stakeholders accountable for deliverables relevant to defined key performance indicators.
  • Interact with Fluke Norwich site management and worldwide teams to coordinate work and escalate critical production issues.

Fortive appoints Susan Main to board of directors
