We are helping modern businesses and platforms pay their on-demand workers and creators all around the world, whether it be freelancers, photographers, drivers, hosts, artists, influencers, affiliates, app developers, musicians, or one of the 500 Million (and growing fast!) people working as an independent contractor (aka freelancing). We help businesses not just pay these workers globally, but also automate all the other operational tasks like collecting and validating bank info, completion of tax forms, AML screening, handling FX conversions to 135 currencies, sending email confirmations, reconciling to your accounting/ERP system, and many other tasks which saves our customers a heap of time and money.

About the role

As a SRE / DevOps Developer ****at Trolley, you'll be instrumental in driving, maintaining and enhancing our cloud infrastructure. You'll drive automation and efficiency, collaborate across teams, and ensure our systems are reliable, performant, and scalable. You’ll be responsible for collaborating with all the relevant functions to continuously evolve CI/CD solutions, and scale the organization's infrastructure while strengthening its security posture and regulatory compliance.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or SRE role in a cloud-based environment.
• Solid understanding of core cloud principles and security, with extensive experience using AWS services ( e.g. ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, etc. ) to design, deploy, and manage secure and efficient cloud solutions.
• Experience managing containerized applications using Docker and AWS Fargate, and a deep understanding of containerization and orchestration principles
• Experience with implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI, and a deep understanding of best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure assets.
• Solid understanding of observability principles and their practical application in large-scale systems, with hands-on experience using relevant tools ( e.g., DataDog ).
• Strong Python skills for automating tasks and enhancing process efficiencies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to work effectively within an Agile team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving SRE / DevOps practices.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily SRE / DevOps operations, ensuring smooth workflows and quick resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to to uphold and enhance the availability, security, and scalability of our systems.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and automate processes effectively.
• Refine our CI/CD processes to boost efficiency and support scalable growth.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues, and contribute to solutions that prevent their recurrence.
• Support the evolution of DevOps practices by providing guidance, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and mentoring peers to achieve organizational objectives.
