Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mid-Level Wastewater Engineer to support projects in Northern/Southern California- the role would require site location visits - hybrid role/office locations - Oakland, Sacramento, Walnut Creek, or Pasadena.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Works on wastewater treatment and biosolids management studies, prepares contract document plans, and specifications, and assists with cost estimates for various wastewater treatment and biosolids management projects.
• Collects and analyzes treatment plant and biosolids management operating data and prepares technical memoranda and reports.
• Stay abreast of current and future regulations and trends in wastewater treatment, reclamation and reuse technologies in California.
• Stay abreast of current and future trends in biosolids processing, management, and waste-to-energy recovery.
• Coordinate the work of drafters, and technicians.
• Work location will be hybrid: remote, field, and occasional Parsons Walnut Creek Office.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 7 - years or more of wastewater engineering planning and design experience on one or more of the following practice areas: wastewater treatment, wastewater reclamation, and/or biosolids and residuals management.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in California or the ability to obtain within one year.
• Demonstrated experience in the planning and design of wastewater infrastructure projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• California PE License.
• Design, construction, and O&M phase experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Project, and BioWin software tools.

Salary Range:
