About the Role
This is a casual Veterinary Nurse position, ideal for an experienced nurse looking for flexibility while continuing to work in a busy and rewarding clinical environment.
We're looking for someone who can confidently step into the clinic and support the team across all aspects of veterinary nursing.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and procedures
- Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
- Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery
- Medical nursing and inpatient care
- Collecting samples and performing pathology testing
- Administering medications and treatments
- Emergency and critical care nursing support
- Dental procedures and patient care
- Maintaining hygiene and infection control standards throughout the clinic
- Providing exceptional customer service and client communication
- Supporting reception and administrative duties when required
- Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
As a casual team member, your ability to adapt quickly and confidently support the team where needed will be highly valued.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Has at least 2 years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
- Is confident and competent across both medical and surgical nursing
- Can work independently and hit the ground running with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates excellent animal handling skills
- Has strong anaesthetic monitoring and patient care capabilities
- Communicates confidently and professionally with both clients and colleagues
- Remains calm and organised in a busy environment
- Brings a positive, team-first attitude
- Has experience using RxWorks (advantageous but not essential)
