Select Medical Corporation and Corewell Health have announced a joint venture to build an 84-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The four-storey facility will be located next to Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. The new hospital will treat patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord and brain injuries, amputations, and complex orthopaedic conditions. It will feature modern spaces and advanced rehabilitative technology focused on restoring function, mobility, and independence. The partners have worked together since 2017. The new facility will nearly quadruple Troy's current rehabilitation footprint and provide a purpose-built setting for patient recovery. The project is proceeding through regulatory and municipal reviews and is expected to open in 2029.
