Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in directly related field
  • Must have at least 4 years of Digital Audi Recording (DAR) and Video Tele-conferencing (VTC) experience
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in Cisco VoIP/ CUCM engineering. Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco VoIP solutions
  • In-depth knowledge/experience of CUCM, Unity Connection, Cisco IM & Presence, and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP) and network protocols (TCP/IP, QoS)
  • Carrier experience with porting, SIP integration, and edge integration (like TDM gateways and SBC’s).
  • Technical supervisory experience regarding telecommunications engineering
  • Experience planning, evaluating, and coordinating the installation of local and/or remote data and voice communications equipment such as terminals, video conferencing units, multi-point conferencing units, and VoIP telephones
  • Experience managing and issuing individual and system PKI certificates
  • Ability to ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CCNA certification
Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and deploy Cisco Collaboration solutions, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, and Cisco IM & Presence
  • Develop and implement Voice over IP (VoIP) network architectures that meet US government standards
  • Integrate VoIP systems with existing network infrastructure and ensure interoperability with other communication systems
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP-related issues, including call quality, connectivity, and configuration problems
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff on VoIP systems and features
  • Ensure Collaboration systems comply with US government security protocols and communication requirements
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring, to protect Collaboration communications
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of Collaboration system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Generate reports on Collaboration system performance, usage, and security incidents
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of VoIP systems
